Remember Nomad? 1995? Bad battery life? Well Innex Inc. is planning to release a new portable Genesis/Mega Drive licensed by SEGA, A.K.A. a new Nomad. The new handheld is called the Retro-Gen
While there have been a few of these cheap SEGA handhelds/consoles, what separates this one is quite major. Why?
On June 18th I reported that Platinum games and Nude Makers’ joint production, Infinite Space, was number one on Japanese charts.
Well somethings changed dramatically. Last week the game sold through most of it’s initial shipment of roughly 45,000 units, but this week it fell from 1st to 18th place. Maybe SEGA has forgotten to restock shelves?

This Conduit trailer released by SOE is supposedly the games final trailer, the game is on American shelves already and can be found on European shelves starting July 10th.

Good news for gamers (to the 2 of you) with a spare $300 lying around, those twin sticks that only work with one game (Virtual-On) and cost more than a Xbox 360 itself are closer to production. The twin sticks EX are for sold on a pre-order basis only, so 2 years down the road expect exorbitant eBay prices. Hori has stated they will only release such a product if it meets pre-order numbers of 1,500 units.
According to the most recent post on the Virtual-On Blog that features a interview with Mr. Okami from Hori the sticks design is not final, and could be redesigned, and the unit should weigh aroung 4 KG

The NDS pretty much ruled the Japanese charts this week, but number 1 is the one that’s important to us. It marks the first PlatinumGames title to be released in the region. The space-based RPG took first despite only being on shelves for two days, though the second day sales look to be low considering the first day it was reported that it had sold 30,000 copies.
